What is your favorite way to incorporate text in your journals? Share your best techniques and supplies by posting a comment (and photo, if you wish).

In the above example, I see I really am a Word Happy kind of journaler.

PEN: On the left, I’m journaling with the same black ink pen I’ve used for over 15 years (well, the same brand, not the same pen, sheesh). That would be the Sanford UniBall Micro in black. Reasonably water resistant (same pen is used in heart drawing and had a nice watery effect) and most of all, does not leak on an airplane and endures humidity and other weather well.

The writing is done over watercolor on index cards.

Right Page: An old text is glued down and painted over a bit with diluted caran d’ache crayon. Incorporating old, discarded books is a favorite way of filling a blank page.

BRAVE: Rubber stamp alphabet applied with permanent black ink pad.

My favorite alphabet stamps come from Traci Bunkers. You can find them in her Etsy shop.

I have too many stamp alphabet sets to count. Is this a problem? I still want more. Can you be thin, too rich or have too many alphabet stamps? Well, maybe if you’re one of the Olsen twins.

Those are my Word Happy tips for now.

My name is Lisa Sonora, and I am an alpha-holic.
