Today I am attempting something new and scary: video updates of my painting progress shot in right in the studio. I’m brand new to taking and editing video, please excuse my rough editing.
I always appreciate the opportunity to visit artists in their work spaces, so this is my opportunity to reciprocate. Of course, if you happen to be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in the next month, you’re welcome to stop by and say hi in person. I might put you to work, though!
Progress Update:
25 paintings more or less complete (I tend to keep adding for awhile…)
45 under paintings complete.
A hell of a lot more to go….I’m behind schedule. Goal is to get 200 paintings done by Dec. 31.
Thankfully, I can buy my caffeinated beverage of choice, Yerba Mate, right here in Puerto Vallarta. Evidently there are some Argentinians running around in these parts, and that’s what they drink instead of coffee. I’m hooked on the stuff. And it’s supposed to be good for you — antioxidants and all that.
OK – Back to painting. Happy weekend everyone!

It’s wonderful Sarah and your studio looks a great place to work! I wish I had a bigger workspace!! Looking forward to your next update.
So sorry I meant Lisa!!! Oops I have Sarah stuck in my head as I was just talking to someone called Sarah.
What an ambitious project — I love it!
I enjoyed seeing you and your environment – and hearing about your process in your first video.
All the best.

Wow, just checked out your YouTube video, very cool. LOVING your artwork, Lisa, Puerto Vallarta seems to suit you perfectly. Way to inspire, Lisa, you’re doing FABULOUS, keep up the amazing work!!
E-mail me and catch me up on life when you have the opportunity in between painting of course!!…(lol)
Merry Christmas!
@Zoe: yes, this is the biggest studio I’ve ever had the opportunity to work in (and have it all to myself!). And I’m in the “small” studio! My workshop will be downstairs in the big(ger) studio. Fun!
@Kathryn: It’s ambitious alright. Just like doing a long meditation retreat. I’ll be posting more about the what and why of the project…for now just wanted to start some regular posts on it before I chicken out.
@Suzanne: Thanks so much for stopping by, girlfriend! About a million things (all good) have happened in the last couple of months. Skype date with margaritas is in order. xoxo
Hey girl!! So looking forward to the catch up and hearing about all the million good things that’s happened since we last chatted.

(I’m horrible and so outdated, don’t yet have skype/webcam for laptop..need to look into that..) I’m all about the margaritas and the catch up chat though
